Behavioral Challenges
Real, lasting change doesn’t happen by getting everything right on the first try. True growth happens when we give ourselves permission to stumble, make the wrong call, and learn how to pick ourselves up along the way.
My goal in therapy is to create a laid-back, grounded, and welcoming space where you can trade the constant pressure of perfection for self-compassion. Whether we're using humor, structured team exercises, or straightforward real talk, I adapt to whatever helps you—or your child—thrive.
My Approach
I specialize in working with kids, teens, and young adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, behavioral challenges, or impulsive reactions. Therapy with me isn't just sitting on a couch talking about feelings; it’s active, hands-on, and practical.
In our sessions, we build skills like building muscle at the gym—practicing tools in real-time through activities, games, and exposure exercises. We work on unpacking that heavy "backpack" of stress, learning how to ride out emotional storms, and turning hard moments into actionable growth.
What a breakthrough looks like with me:
Watching shoulders drop as defenses take a backseat.
Catching that "light-bulb moment" when a client pauses to reflect instead of reacting impulsively.
Seeing a child or teen use a brand-new tool in the room and realize, “I can actually do hard things.”
Celebrating updates from parents when those same in-session breakthroughs start showing up at home.
"It might feel uncomfortable, but that is change happening. You don't have to have it all figured out today—let's pause, take a breath, and figure out what giving yourself some grace looks like."

When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me unwinding at home with my fiancé, wedding planning, or hanging out with our apartment full of pets (a husky, two cats, and a turtle!). I’m a fan of weekend baking, hitting the gym for weightlifting, catching up on podcasts and reality TV, or enjoying a slow, rainy Sunday.
